È stata scoperta una nuova stella gialla ipergigante, una delle poche conosciute, a circa 12.000 anni luce dalla terra. Ha un diametro pari a più di 1.300 volte quello del sole, e si "nutre" della sua vicina, molto più piccola, con la quale forma un sistema binario... buon appetito!
A new yellow hypergiant, one of the few known, was discovered at about 12,000 light years from Earth. It has a diameter of more than 1,300 times that of our Sun and it "eats" its neighbor, much smaller, with which it forms a binary system... bon apeti!
