Alcune stelle si muovono molto velocemente... per esempio Kappa Cassiopeae viaggia ad una velocità di circa 1.100 km/sec. A questa velocità il campo magnetico della stella, ed alcune particelle che si staccano, interagiscono con la polvere cosmica presente nello spazio vuoto, formando strutture chiamate shock ad arco, visibili agli infrarossi.

Some stars move very fast... for example Kappa Cassiopeae travels at a speed of around 2.5 million mph. At this speed, the star' magnetic field, and some particles flying off the star, collide with the cosmic dust filling the empty space, forming structures called bow shocks, visible using infrared lights.
