Il costo della sequenza di un genoma è sceso dai 2,7 miliardi di dollari utilizzati per il primo a circa 5000 dollari, ed è previsto in ulteriore discesa in breve tempo.
Ciò può rivoluzionare la medicina ma pone problemi di interpretazione e, soprattutto, etici... infatti bisogna fare molta attenzione nell'interpretare e comunicare i risultati, perché alcune scoperte potrebbero non essere piacevoli.
Io, comunque, vorrei il mio DNA sequenziato...
