Un grosso passo avanti nello studio del funzionamento del cervello è stato compiuto dagli scienziati dello Howard Hughes Medical Institute; essi infatti hanno trovato un metodo per mettere in evidenza in ogni istante quali cellule del cervello sono attive, individuando aree di complementarietà.
