Il 28 febbraio 1909 è stato il primo... 8 marzo. Infatti in quella data fu celebrato il primo "Giorno della donna" nazionale negli Stati Uniti, che si è poi diffuso grazie al partito socialista.
Ma fu solo nel 1977 che le Nazioni Unite chiesero a tutti gli stati membri di proclamare l'8 marzo "Giornata per i diritti della donna e la pace nel mondo".

February 28th, 1909, was the first... March 8th. In fact in that day the first national "Women's Day" was celebrated in the United States, which then started to diffuse thanks to the Socialist Party.
But it was only in 1977 that United Nations invited member states to proclaim March 8th as the "UN Day for women's rights and world peace".
