I metodi per la scoperta di pianeti orbitanti intorno alle stelle si stanno raffinando: è stato infatti scoperto un pianeta che orbita attorno a Alpha Centauri B, a soli 4,3 anni luce dalla terra.
Questo pianeta ha dimensioni simili alla terra, ma purtroppo orbita troppo vicino alla stella, rendendolo un posto ancora più inabitabile di Mercurio.

The methods to discover planets orbiting stars are becoming more and more sophisticated: in fact, a European team discovered a planet orbiting Alpha Centauri Beta, only 4.3 lightyears away from the Earth.
The planet has a size similar to Earth, but unfortunately is orbiting too near to the star, making it uninhabitable, even more than Mercury.
