Dopo un viaggio durato 8 mesi, oggi il rover Curiosity atterrerà su Marte, al termine di "sette minuti di terrore", durante i quali decelererà da 21.600 kmh a 2.450 kmh durante l'ingresso nell'atmosfera marziana, per essere poi depositato delicatamente sulla superficie da un sistema di paracadute e contro-razzi.
La missione esplorativa di Curiosity durerà circa 668 rotazioni marziane (quasi due anni terrestri), per cercare di rivelare se è possibile che ci sia stata vita sul pianeta rosso. Tanti anni fa...
