È strano come a volte le notizie si rincorrano e si leghino le une alle altre... proprio due giorni fa riportavo un articolo del Milwaukee Sentinel relativo ad un bambino salvato dalla sequenza del suo DNA (The DNA Sequence That Saved a Life...) e nell'articolo si diceva che il problema principale, per cui il metodo non è diffuso, è il costo di questa operazione, e più o meno negli stessi giorni Life Technologies lanciava un nuovo sequenziatore (Ion Proton™ Sequencer) disegnato per sequenziare un intero genoma in un giorno per 1000 dollari... Spero che si possano salvare più vite!

Hope this is gonna save more lives!
