È questa, infatti, la distanza tra la Terra e il buco nero al centro della via lattea.
Gli scienziati dell'ESO (European Southern Observatory) stanno osservando una nube di gas che da alcuni anni si avvicina al buco nero e che nel 2013 dovrebbe arrivare ad una distanza di "sole" 36 ore luce (circa 40 miliardi di chilometri), e fargli da... cena!

This is, in fact, the distance between Earth and the black hole situated at the Milky Way.
ESO (European Southern Observatory) scientists have been observing since some years a gas cloud approaching the black hole, that in 2013 should pass at a distance of "only" 36 light-hours (around 40 billions kilometres) and serve as... dinner!
